The Worthless Wall Street Journal is banning its reporters from using the terms “illegal immigrant” and “illegal” when referring to illegal aliens living in the US.
In an update in ts style guide, the WSJ, which owned by billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., stated that while it will allow reporters to continue using the term “illegal immigration” to describe the process of illegal aliens arriving and staying in the US, it will no longer allow reporters to describe individuals as “illegal” or “illegal immigrant”.
It is, they said, all in an effort to stop “labeling people.”

I’ve liked ‘illegal alien’ best; ‘alien’ is in all of our legal documents - though I think I’ve heard that Biden is going to change this.
(Can he do that just by ‘fiat’?)

That's ridiculous. They 'label' people all the time. They label us according to our sexual 'orientations', our political stances, and how they imagine that we think about racial issues. In recent years, I've been called 'deplorable', 'reactionary', 'cis', and irredeemably, institutionally 'racist'.They even encourage me to declare the pronouns I want to be 'labeled' with.
(I guess we'll get rid of 'felon', 'convict', 'terrorist', 'sexual predator', soon - wouldn't want them discriminated against when they go to vote Democrat.

How about just “invaders”.
In theory the adjectives of legal and illegal should not be needed to modify immigrant or invaders, respectively, since crossing a border illegally does not make you an immigrant - it makes you invader.
