Two quarreling city bus drivers locked horns and refused to move their massive rigs in a bizarre stand-off on a narrow two-way avenue in Brooklyn, a video released Friday shows.
The B35 buses, each facing the opposite direction, stopped a few feet from each other on 13th Ave. near 39th St. in Borough Park about 6:45 p.m. Thursday, but both drivers refused to budge, sparking some gridlock in the area, the video shows.
“Back it up! Back it up!” one of the MTA drivers screamed to the other.
“How am I going to back up? Why can’t you back up?” the other MTA worker shouted back.
“Two babies....two babies over here,” a man recording the exchange is overheard saying.

One of the bus drivers asked not to be recorded, but the man filming on his phone refused.
“I can take a picture of you! You blocked my whole street down here!” the man recording responded.

“You’re supposed to be there!” the bus driver told his colleague, pointing to the other side of the street. “You back it up!”
“I’m not backing up!” the other driver countered.
“Ok we’re going to stay here then,” the first driver said.
The driver who refused to be recorded, who was turning onto 13th Ave., ultimately backed up with the help of another MTA bus driver who was a passenger and people in the street who asked motorists behind the bus to back up and give the driver some room.
MTA officials said the entire incident was sparked by an illegally parked minivan in a no-standing zone on the narrow avenue, which caused one of the B35 buses to take a wide turn into the path of the other bus.
“While this very New York traffic jam should have been resolved more professionally, a significant cause of the gridlock appears to be an illegally parked minivan and shipping container,” MTA spokesman Shams Tarek said. “This is an illustration of why well-enforced bus priority and street parking regulations are so critical to the smooth operation of our buses.
Both bus drivers have ben taken out of service as the MTA decides whether to hit them with operational and conduct violations as well as violations for not wearing a mask, agency officials said.

The Norton’s had the same exact apartment, but with just about every modern appliance and convince available at the time. Nice wallpaper, furniture. In one episode Norton mentions that he has 14 open credit accounts.
