Shares of one of the US companies have risen in price more than 50 times after statements of cooperation with Ukraine on the construction of renewable energy facilities in Chernobyl and the launch of a national operator of 5G communications. In Ukraine, the authorities claim that they do not know anything about such agreements, Radio Svoboda reports.
At the same time, the US company announced that it is going to organize meetings for Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleh Urusky with representatives of SpaceX during his visit to the United States. Urusky denies such agreements, and the authorities organized meetings with Elon Musk's company with the help of official diplomatic channels.
On March 3, an agreement was made public on the website of the US Department of Justice, according to which the American company Diplomatic Trade will provide lobbying services for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Development of Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky on a pro bono basis, that is, free of charge.
In another report, the US company claimed that it had signed a memorandum with the Ukrainian government to implement several projects - in particular, the construction of a solar power plant in the exclusion zone, a plant for the production of "green" hydrogen and the launch of 5G communications. Urusky told reporters that he did not know anything about the signing of the memorandum with Enerkon. He also said that the ministry he heads does not plan to take part in this project. Such agreements were also denied by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Environment.
Reporters analyzed the company's stock value and found that it had grown more than 50 times over the past three months, from four cents to $ 2. Such a leap, according to lawyers working with stock markets, became possible, in particular, because the company constantly mentioned business projects in Ukraine in its plans.
Meanwhile, SpaceX has agreed to launch the Ukrainian satellite Sich 2-1 into orbit.
