THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR continue to interest experts, who claimed they had uncovered a "place of power" used by the order and a possible clue that they were on the hunt for the Ark of Covenant.
The Catholic military order was active for almost 200 years until their abrupt demise. At the height of their power between the 12th and 13th century, the Templars were among the most skilled fighting units of the Crusade period and managed large Christian economic organisations across Europe and the Middle East. But their sudden reduction in power inspired the rise of legends and has seen them at the centre of intense research ever since.
One spot probed by experts is the hermitage of San Bartolome, a 12th-century chapel in the Rio dos Lobos Canyon of Spain, which was built by the Templars in a very peculiar spot.
Architect Carlos Sanchez-Montana told BBC Reel: “The Templars were connoisseurs of knowledge and discipline of antiquity.
“By their architecture in San Bartolome de Ucero they managed to amplify the power of the Rio Lobos canyon.

Did not Shishak remover the treasures from the Temple?
Can’t be there. It’s buried in Oak Island along with a whole bunch of other stuff.
I’ve seen this movie. Do NOT open the lid.
I thought the Ark was in a warehouse awaiting evaluation by ‘top men?’
“By their architecture in San Bartolome de Ucero they managed to amplify the power of the Rio Lobos canyon.”
Yeah, right. Lol.
Well, 2 Maccabees says the prophet Jeremiah hid the ark in a cave, along with some of the other temple treasures.

Simon Templar = “The Saint”
RIP Roger Moore.
2 Maccabees 4-8:
"4 It was also in the same document that the prophet, having received an oracle, ordered that the tent and the ark should follow with him, and that he went out to the mountain where Moses had gone up and had seen the inheritance of God.
5 Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance.
6 Some of those who followed him came up intending to mark the way, but could not find it.
7 When Jeremiah learned of it, he rebuked them and declared: “The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy.
8 Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will appear, as they were shown in the case of Moses, and as Solomon asked that the place should be specially consecrated.”
Man, are those guys going to be disappointed when, after all the years and millions they’ve spent, all they come up with are more local artifacts. History Channel is happy, though, with the viewership numbers.
2 Maccabees? What bible is that from?
The apocrypha. Non canonized scripture. Bridges the period from the Old Testament to the New Testament it is not thought to be inerrant or inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Basically on the same level of the Book of Enoch or Gospel of “Thomas”.
Non-canon without a doubt.
Thank you.
Hahaha that’s so right—including a vast cashe of plumb - bobs that mysteriously disappeared over the years my Dad worked for land survey companies, did royalty reports / surveys for a lignite - coal power plant as an employee, and then started his own professional land survey company.
Plumb bobs are indeed something that is worthy of an Indiana Jones - style archaeological hunt.
I should promptly call it “SurveyQuest: Mystery of the Disappeared Plumb Bobs”.
Still waiting for them to discover something really valuable.
My silver belt buckle with imbedded turquoise stones is in there somewhere, I know it is.
