While I’m absolutely no fan of the guy you are speaking of, DHS was supposed to be nothing more than a clearinghouse for all the agencies to de-conflict parallel investigations and workout agreements between the agencies.
But,’like all things in DC, they saw an opportunity, reeled in a bunch of federal agencies and then decided to get their own armed agents, who have no mandate.
So, here we are. Disgusting
That was before it became a cabinet level department that absorbed 21 other agencies.
