I’m not a dog owner, and I’ve never been bit (that I recall), is it normal for a dog to bite people every couple of months?
Only if the dog owners are stupid Democrats. That's why Democrats prefer cats. They fail at teaching children, dogs, parrots etc.
my dog will nip at me if she really doesnt want to do something that I am trying to get her to do. what is amazing about this is that she knows just how little pressure to use not to harm me.
she will also turn her head side to side to warn me away..usually this involves me trying to get her to take a bath. I have to wait until I can coax her.
The only dogs that bit me as a kid were a German Shepherd and a dachshund. I guess Germans don’t like the Irish. 🤣
Btw, I was raised with German Shepherds. I was part of the pack. Eventually becoming leader. They used to drag me around by the cuffs or bottom of my pant leg, all over the property. 2 at a time, one on each leg. All my pants were shredded at the bottom until I was about 11. I was bitten many times and 99.9% it was unintentional while playing, me grabbing the Frisbees at the same time the dog clamped down on it etc. All the frisbees had hundreds of big tooth holes in them. They didn’t last long. One of my earliest memories was when I was told once to leave them alone when they were eating. Being a kid, I didn’t listen. But I learned real fast.
Btw, no it’s not normal. Most dog owners with a functioning brain know their dogs and if they’re the protective type, or not used to being around strange people, they don’t expose them to situations where strange people can just walk right up on them.
From my perspective and experience, almost always the case, when a there is an issues with a dog, look no further than the people who own them. Some people should never own a dog.
