Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Monday pointed to young adults in four specific neighborhoods as driving the city's "troubling" increase in coronavirus cases.
At a news conference announcing a new vaccination site for union members in the city, Lightfoot noted that although Chicago is progressing in its vaccine distribution, "we are not out of the woods yet by a long shot."
"Right now we are seeing a troubling uptick in our case positivity and daily case rates," Lightfoot said. "Folks, I just want to tell you, it was about three weeks ago that we were still on a downward trend and we were seeing daily case rates in the two hundreds."

Never ever a glimmer if hope worh these people just cases cases cases .. we need a revolution.
So if someone goes to emergency with a severely sprained ankle, could that possibly be listed as another Covid-19 patient? So of course they must maintain absolute control over all citizens....except for government employees who must get out and socialize and get hair cuts because they have an image on display.
If she would put the same energy into the crime problem that is many, many times worse than Covid ever thought of being, you could walk the streets of most any neighborhood in Chicago again.
Lightfoot has had a full year to train personnel and build facilities to deal with the China Virus
Chicagoans should be working up a recall election if she hasn’t.
Lori Lightbrain is incapable of coherent thought. Not due to her race, but due to her liberalism. Chicago is dead in any case. Stick a fork in it, light it, dispose of the waste in the sun.
“This is obviously a very troubling trend that is being driven by adults 18 to 39, who are primarily on the North and Northwest sides of our city, in our Lincoln Park, Old Town, Dunning and Portage Park neighborhoods,” Lightfoot said.
For non-locals, these are all middle class class white neighborhoods. Not Republican areas per se, but if you are looking for conservative-leaning people in Chicago, these kinds of neighborhoods are where you would find them.

She has the west and south sides, and the guilty white liberals along the lakefront will vote for her again.
Those with the means and any sense are busy leaving Chicago.

Yep....was just going to say.....these ‘troubling’ neighborhoods are NOT the southside, where most of the weekend shooting sprees take place....but....the gentrified, whitey-type neighborhoods.
You know....where lawns are kept up, owners/renters have a symblance of pride about their property/belongings, nice little shops and restaurants, etc.,etc.

Well, Dunning and Portage Park aren’t really “gentrified”, they have always been middle class or working class white neighborhoods and haven’t changed much. Lincoln Park and Old Town are “gentrified” but not in the usual sense, because there weren’t really any minorities there to displace, just lower income whites being replaced by yuppies.
With the accompanying vax progress, we should be encouraging young people to mingle and thereby do their patriotic duty.
I’m starting to think the sooner everyone is exposed, the better. It’s been dragging out too long.
