Trump Jr.: Delta comments on Ga. voter laws coming back to bite it
One America News ^ | April 2, 2021

Donald Trump Jr. blasted Delta Airlines and “woke corporate culture” after Delta CEO Ed Bastian attacked Georgia’s voter integrity laws. In a video posted Friday, Don Jr. said Delta “is learning the hard way not to bite the hand that feeds it” after Georgia State Republicans voted to cancel a tax break plan for the airline.

He added, Bastian’s comments were a stark contrast from Delta’s prior statement on the matter. In its previous statement, Delta admitted the legislation “improved” considerably during the process and was “committed to listening to communities and engaging with leaders from both parties.”

Of course it is going to come back and bite them or haunt them. Karma is real, yo....so is the last time that I flew on Delta, an ID was required. Go figure.

Remember when Braniff had those sex stewardesses ads... 'Hi I'm Carol, Come fly with me .. ' I was to young to join the MILE HIGH CLUB... Some of the stewardesses are now guys and some look like they are trans.

Eastern had some great looking females, so did PanAm!!

” .... these corporations should work with states and the federal government to provide IDs to all US Citizens and state citizens who do not have them. Then they could vote and fly.”

It’s hypocritical of them to require ID when you get the vaccine. They pressure people to get the vaccine but require an ID.

Also, it would be great to offer free ID service to those that don’t have it. Whatever it takes for legal residents to get an ID. I seriously doubt there would be many, if any, that request an ID. There’s no real honest excuse for anyone to not have an ID.

I wish I’m a MLB fan so I could say that I’m not going to watch anymore. But, the truth is I quit watching several years ago as the game is totally boring.

It’s true of all the sports. The competition-level sucks.

NFL: little more than flag football 7 on 7 drill. Does anybody play defense?

MLB: Homerun Derby. The stolen base and hit & run disused even when the situation calls for it.

NBA: No inside game anymore. You’ve got 6’10” Centers shooting 3’s. And the coaches actually WANT that!

Moneyball is destroying the major professional sports. Now everybody is ‘woke’.

MLB is going to go broke. Good riddance to the only professional sports organization that I ever really cared about. I’m done with them.

Have to agree. Baseball has been the only sport I've cared about the past few years since my beloved Chicago Blackhawks flat out suck now. Now that the Cubs have moved to "Marquee Network" and make you pay an arm and a leg to watch them on TV and the White Sox are hardly ever on broadcast TV anymore I'm done with baseball. Sure, I can get an online stream and watch the game if I really wanted to, but after the hissy fit MLB pulled in moving the all star game out of Georgia, f'em.

Manfred made a calculated decision believing that MLB fans have short memories and will quickly move past this. Guess we shall see if he’s right or not. Speaking for myself I won’t forget. Baseball is now dead to me...

Same here!

**I wish I’m a MLB fan so I could say that I’m not going to watch anymore. But, the truth is I quit watching several years ago as the game is totally boring. Put it about as exciting as watching paint dry.**

I’m 66, and have never watched an entire MLB game. And none that I can recall in the last 35 or so years. Boring indeed.

But I made money just last monday hauling 880 50# bags of ‘infield conditioner’ 670 miles. The product retails for about $9 per bag. Shipping cost was just over $2400.00. When used for school ballfields, the stuff is basically taxpayer funded oil dry, dyed red to match the dirt. After a few rains it is just mud too. Nothing too good for spoiled brat coaches, parents, and players. Way too much emphasis field condition (way too much emphasis on sports in general, imo). Irregular field condition used to be a home field advantage factor, especially in football.

I recall a high school football game my youngest son played in on their way to a 14-0 state championship season in 2002 (IL). The opposing team’s field was also the baseball field. Even though that school was known for its basketball teams, they were always tough in football, but would somehow lose a few close games. Their ‘hybrid’ field gave them an advantage since they were used to playing on it.

My son and teammates beat them very convincingly that night. His comment after the game: “we beat them easily..... on their turf.... at least what you could call turf!”

Ooh, ouch. Not the MLB All-Star Game?

These frickin idiots are all corporate sponsored anyway. What they don't get is they need an audience. Don't do it.

Attendance has been dropping like a lead balloon anyway. For example, in Cleveland 1981, 72,086. In Cleveland 2019, 36,747. Last year a goose egg (Covid).

Get Woke Go Broke!

When will people understand that anything that favors this one group is against all the rest of us? When does survival instinct kick in? Is there any of that left at all? I did not think it possible but it seems to have been indoctrinated out of at least three generations.

Imagine the tax incentives Porche got to build their 27 acre headquarters in Georgia. Why isn’t the legislature demanding that those incentives are rescinded now that the Germans have meddled in our politics?

Germany sends all eligible voters a polling notification which must be presented when showing up to vote. If the person doesn’t have one they need to show their passport or government ID.

I remember on our flight from Logan to Jamaica via Tampa back in 1990 we brought a big jug of Bacardi aboard the jet.....to mix with the ‘free?’ Cokes.

ahhhh.....the good old days..

I first flew on Delta in the summer of 1966, when it was a regional airline that operated mostly in the South. The stewardesses were young and beautiful, and all had Southern accents. Now, that seems like a galaxy far, far away.

My first flight was the summer of '59 and it was military from SC {Ft.Jackson} to San Antonio, TX but an engine caught fire and we had to land in Atlanta.

I was just out of boot camp and thought {the whole plane full of young GIs, thought} we are dead.

First commercial flight was an Eastern in '66, like you and the stews were beautiful.

I'm pretty sure Eastern was out of Miami, but those days have been over for decades.

Today, it's like the line out of "An Officer and a Gentleman", "Steers and queers, come from..."

MLB didn’t need to do this, they’re being stupid and short sighted.

They should realize their players and fan base aren’t the NFL and NBA.
