For those of us that lived around the nutcase Koresh, his abuse of children was why everyone knew he burned the compound and not the FBI.

Koresh was as sick as they come and his "followers" were either terrified of him or complicit in his sick abuse.

That’s nonsense. The fire was started by the tanks pumping in burning gas into an unsafe wooden structure. And yeah he was crazy. But F-troop caused that disaster.
They wanted to search for illegal machine guns. The search had no child abuse nexus. The feds lied and said there were drugs there in order to get military support.

That assault style raid was simply not needed. All the ATF had to do was have two men in suits knock on the front door. The proof? The McClennan County sheriff arrested him on a murder charge a few years earlier in just such a manner. He offered no resistance. At trial he was acquitted,

ATF wanted a big flashy PR raid.

And as an aside, he went to lunch every week at the Chelsea Street Pub at Waco mall. They could have simply arrested him.

He was a nut but the Feds utterly screwed that up.

Problem is, the raid was perpetrated over failure to submit 4 pages of paperwork and a $200 tax - NOT over child abuse.
And the new ATF director orchestrated the attack.

Koresh could have been picked up any time...the FBI and ATF or Bite Me Biden’s version AFT was sending a message to gun owners from the Clinton regime..

The ATF had many chances to take Koresh when he went to town. All of those people didn’t have to die. The quick bulldozing of the site was the clue I had that let me know my government was corrupt as hell.
