I suspect most Trump supporters outside of many skilled “blue collar” jobs are completely unsuited to work in any organization that is large enough to have an HR department.

I believe it. The middle class is being entirely destroyed very quickly. It’s turning into a pyramid shaped society with a huge bottom, smaller middle, and tiny top. The ideal is a diamond shape with small top/bottoms and a big middle. We used to have that post WW2 until the late 70s. Was nice while it lasted.

HR departments are no longer the traditional personnel work, they are now the Political Department. Much like in China, each factory, even if it is not part of a government owned enterprise, has a group of CCP representatives, loyal only to the Party.
On January, I deleted my Facebook, leaving LinkedIn as my only social media presence. I have always limited my postings and comments there to business, technical, and industrial safety subjects.
A new Facebook page will go up soon since no Facebook page is another red flag for the zampolits. It will be all desinformatsiya and maskirovka, feigning loyalty to the Party.

I know of a number of Trump supporters in engineering and science with years of experience, whereas HR is full of folks from Humanities who can’t do math, though they may be well up to the task of dragging everything down into a censorious perdition.

If it is also true that Groupthink leads to disastrous organizational decision making, and that an organization that encourages self-censorship encourages groupthink.

I’m glad you said “most”. I’m one of those who have been working for Fortune 500 companies for the past 30 years.

Agree. That’s why we have a family business. I am selective on who we hire and who we do business with for that very reason.
