I wonder if the guy wasn’t using the laser to scribe a line on a wall or some thing like that . Maybe forgot to turn it off?

Industrial lasers have a range safety and green lasers are rarely used for measuring, line demarcation, levelling, etc., because they are considerably more expensive and no more useful than red lasers.

Not a green laser. Those kinds of things use red lasers.

I have never seen a green laser used for plumbing a wall or doing suspended acoustical ceilings. They are all red. But of course, that is only my experience.
