As the royal family gathered this morning for the funeral of Prince Philip, there was one major figure who was not present: Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex wasn't able to travel with Prince Harry, due to orders from doctors that she should stay home in the late stage of her pregnancy with her second child.
However, while Markle wasn't able to join her husband for the Duke of Edinburgh's service, she made sure to send her love to the royal family with a special gift. According to a report by People, the couple had a wreath sent early this morning to be laid for the late Duke, along with a personal handwritten note from Markle.
The wreath was designed by Willow Crossley, the same florist who fashioned flower arrangements for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding, as well as for baby Archie's christening.
The gift was composed of locally-sourced flowers, along with some personal touches requested by Prince Harry and Meghan. The touches were seen in the different chosen flowers, like Acanthus mollis (Bear's breeches), which was included to honor Prince Philip's heritage, as it is the national flower of Greece. The wreath also featured eryngium (sea holly) to represent the Royal Marines, campanula to represent gratitude and love, rosemary for remembrance, lavender for devotion and roses to signify the Duke of Edinburgh's birth month of June.
While Markle watched the service from the couple's home in Montecito, California, Prince Harry walked in the funeral procession at St. George's Chapel at Windsor. This is the first time the Duke of Sussex has been in his home country since last spring.
We are glad to see the family coming together (even from across the world) to honor the late Duke of Edinburgh.

If her actions had been sincere, it never would have made the news. She’s always looking for publicity.
I am sure it was a beautiful wreath and very fitting for the occasions as were hundreds of other wreaths and flower arrangements sent from all over the world.
Bless her heart!!
When US Presidents die they have a fancy horse drawn hearse and a parade.
The Brits pitched Prince Philip in the back of a pick-up truck for the trip to the cemetery. No joke!
I’ll bet it was “requested” she not be there
Total Bull Sh-t!
The Queen wishes her presence far away from the Crown as Megan is a lying disgrace and Harry a fool.
Where was Harry when grandpa died? Doing whines with Oprah, the ginger idiot.
Read the comments in The Daily Mail if you want to know what the Brits think of this POS. And Harry. I read through a lot of comments and didn’t see one that favored MeAgain. They’re totally over Harry too.
I’m wondering if queen Lizzie will remarry??
Remember when the Iranians flopped the Ayatollah out of his casket on 5he Street?
Maybe send an old DVD of 0bamma’s speeches.
Prince Philip specifically planned all details of his own funeral several years ago, including the “pick up truck” as you call it (it has to do with his military service). You can read about it various places online.
“Sent her love to the royal family with a special gift”
Is that what they are calling it nowadays. I hope and pray my children never gift me the way Markle has “gifted” the Queen and the rest of the family.
The Middle Easterns have a ‘knack’ for staging fake funeral processions. They have the ululations and grief theater down pat. What you described has happened more than once.
Most times it wasn’t well televised because to doubt them seemed overly cynical, for some folks.
I thought “Prince” Harry was no longer a prince.
I read an opinion on the internet that makes sense to me, that Markle is a deep state CIA asset set to destroy the Royals.
Yeah, that was really special.
PureWow, who authored this.... is a digital brand owned by Gallery Media Group, a media company focused ‘on making positivity louder’.
They do countless puff pieces on Megan.
Eating fried chicken and corn bread
Personally, I don’t think she’s bright enough to be a CIA asset for any reason.
