If you are the leadership in Taiwan, and the Chinese are attacking, what do you think the leadership’s chances are if they are taken alive?
The only good threat is one that you will actually do. And if the Chinese think Taiwan will knock out the damn, they will think twice about attacking.
Phff - most off the leadership will depart for their villas in other countries come to that.
And Taiwan will be a smoldering radioactive heap - that threat is hollow. So no taking out the 3 gorges dam, a perennial favorite target on FR ... no so much anywhere else.
No one wants to be remembered for murdering 400 million people and murdering the entire population of their own country. Just a stupid idea.
