The Bay Area has descended into a post-apocalyptic hellscape: San Francisco Bay is now a place that looks like something right out of the most extreme dystopian movie

I was last in San Francisco about three years ago. Back then, the City was already degrading. In the years since then, with help from COVID, the Bay Area has degraded even further. This is what leftism does not communities.

The San Francisco Bay Area is meant to be a jewel-like place sitting on the blue-green Bay, surrounded by natural beauty and crowned by a city once renowned for its natural and architectural beauty. I know those because I grew up in the City and spent most of my life living in or near it. There are few things more ravishing than to stand at the Marin headlines overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay, and the San Francisco skyline. If there's no fog, it takes your breath away.

San Francisco used to be beautiful even on closer inspection. The Marina District offered beautiful 1930s-style Art Deco architecture, the lovely Presidio, and the vast green swathe of the Marina Green on the Bay. By the 1980s, Golden Gate Park had finally been repaired after the damage the Hippies caused. Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and North Beach were all touristy, but they were relatively clean, safe, and great fun. And San Francisco's Union Square Area and theater district were fun, provided you didn't wander too far west into the Tenderloin.

For a while, in the 1990s, thanks to the money the tech titans were pouring into the City, it got even more sparkling and lovely. But then the hard-left policies took over. By then, I'd moved to Marin to raise my family, so I wasn't paying attention to what was going on in San Francisco. Still, when I went there on errands, I noticed increasing numbers of homeless wherever I looked.

The amount of private capital and investment into Democrat ruled urban areas such as San Francisco, Chicago, New York and many others has slowed to a trickle. Right now these places are living off Federal aid that one day will cease. Eventially like all aocialist entities they will collapse. They are lawless and unlivable.

We are on our way to being the richest Third World country ever. Third World population will get you a Third World country. It’s amazing that anyone would think that any other outcome is possible.

I like to remind people I see in the real world that we are in a post apocalyptical world NOW. But because it was not started by physical war, its beginning is not acute. It will just get worse and worse.

Anybody try to buy a new - or used - car lately? How about lumber? Food?

How’s your job doing. Are your tenants paying their rent? Can you evict them if they don’t?

Are you more likely to carry a gun than you were a year ago?

Just wait...

The first time I saw such a map, I thought it had to be satire. But then I learned that San Francisco has a fecal patrol, whose job it is to go after these waste dumps. And that they track the locations of their targets in this manner.

When I land there for an overnight I don’t even leave the airport; I stay in a competitor’s crew lounge.

Why would there be a problem buying a new car?

I’m wondering how long before the big collapse. I mean commercial real estate, population, the city budget, home prices, tourist visits to the city, everything.

You know its coming.

The place is just about unlivable even for the wealthiest.

If you cuddle them, house them, feed them, give them needles, turn your eyes the other way, let them do as they please including pooping on the sidewalk... they will come.

Come on now...SF airport is minutes away from some of the wealthiest zip codes in the country.

Lots of safe places to visit.

See? The Body Snatchers really DID take over in 1978. I’m sure the cast of that thing - especially dead ass donald sutherland - believes the Snatchers represented “the Right”. Joke’s on them, as everyone that is able to see, knows it’s LEFTISTS that have ruined the city!!!!

Not that sutherland would EVER admit it, or be able to process that in his pathologically empty head....

Nope. Poop is one thing, personal safety another. I do the same in Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, DFW and LAX, Newark, LaGarbage (NYC), but I digress.

“You get what you vote for.”

You do, and that is the problem. Those who can afford it will bail out of SF and other parts of California over the next few years. They will land elsewhere but will they bring along the same values that caused California to sink into the muck? My guess is that many will and, like a plague of locusts, they will ravish the next place they settle.
