Conservatives in the Republican party are the only group now trying to preserve our liberties—Trump voters. Bush only sees them as nativists, xenophobes, racists, bigots, deplorables. Has he never heard of the Protestant work ethic? Read the history of the industrialists in my neck of the woods. Carnegie, Mellon, and the guys who built Pittsburgh and became major philanthropists, establishing libraries, and hospitals, and universities. Most of them were Protestants—Presbyterians to be specific. They weren’t perfect, but they contributed more to this country than the groups now trying to destroy it, and that includes RINOs like Bush.
