House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney’s (R-Wyo.) leadership position is on shaky ground, with a growing number of her GOP colleagues telling The Post that a second vote to oust her from her role may be inevitable.
Three GOP lawmakers said a vote determining her fate in leadership could come as soon as next week during their first conference meeting back after recess.

The east coast media is going to contort and wriggle desperately to avoid reality — which is, if you do not support drain the swamp then you are not a Republican. If you don’t support build the wall then you are not a Republican. And ditto America first in all things.
This is crushing to them. They can’t accept that drain the swamp is every bit as conservative definitive as pro Life. And they certainly can’t accept it for build the wall, but that is the way it is.
Operative phrase is conservative definitive. If you don’t support build the wall then you aren’t conservative. This erases the GOPe and thus they can’t allow an overt discussion of this — because if they get labeled not conservative, they are gone.

You are correct. She is safe until the next election. The people of a super conservative state in Casper, Rawlings, Gillette, Cheyenne, and all the small towns will kick her out of office. The liberals up in Northwest Wyoming will vote for her, hell they are from California. But, they are few.

McCarthy and Lindsey Graham and other prominent Republicans have said that Cheney will be a part of any Leadership group.
They count votes before they allow a Vote. If they have to give someone something for their Vote, they will.
