Brown was sentenced in 2017 to five years in prison. She was let out last year due to COVID-19 concerns in the federal prison where she as serving her time.

The appeal was based on arguments about a juror that Brown contended was improperly removed from her 2017 trial because he said the “Holy Spirit” told him Brown was not guilty of fraud and tax charges.

Crooked as they come. It took years to finally nail this thieving bitch and now they reverse the conviction because of this????

This is truly a case where people should take to the streets chanting "No Justice, No Peace" and burn the town down. Won't happen though because the "victim" is a black thief.

“Remand for a new trial.”

And the stalin admin will decline to prosecute again, no doubt.

Corinne Brown had a congressional district especially crafted to ensure a black would win the seat. She was in the office for years, despite being as corrupt as they come. The evidence against her was overwhelming. She used every sleazy excuse to avoid prison including becoming "sick and frail" as the incarceration date approached.

Truly a model Democrat.

So her conviction was overturned due to a tainted juror? Really?

Is that any different then the guy that said he knew nothing about the Floyd case but was wearing the t-shirt months before?

Interesting?

One only has to read about Kwame Kilpatrick and the Conyers crime family in Detroit to learn about black white collar crime.

Pryor wrote that the juror repeatedly assured Corrigan that he was following jury instructions and basing his decision on evidence presented during the trial.

Surprised that wasn't enough for the judge to keep him, considering they were in deliberations. It usually is.

Now if he'd said that during juror voir dire, then he most certainly would have been excused at the request the prosecutor. (I would hope!)

So her conviction was overturned due to a tainted juror?

Nope.

A tainted juror was removed from the jury so her conviction was overturned.
