Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) has been assigned law enforcement protection after receiving death threats over her opposition to the state's election recount, according to multiple reports, as the second full week of the Republican-ordered audit comes to an end.
Friday marks two weeks since Arizona started the recount of 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County, which was ordered by the GOP-controlled state Senate to determine whether widespread fraud took place in the 2020 presidential election and U.S. Senate race.
The ballots are being hand counted, and an audit official earlier this week said at least some of the ballots are being scanned for bamboo fibers, in line with an absurd conspiracy theory that 40,000 forged ballots were shipped into the state from Asia.
On Thursday, the Justice Department sent a letter to local officials warning the audit might be violating federal law since ballots have been handed over to a private company.
That company, Florida-based Cyber Ninjas, has no election experience.

Dominion and the other major players providing voting equipment have access to the ballots and they are all private entities.
The DOJ is overdue for a visit by a fuel-laden 767 (in a just world of course, and metaphorically speaking.)
Perhaps on the assumption that Chinese paper might have ben made Bamboo fiber rather than aspen or poplar wood fiber.
Have to wait to see how that works out.
Some woods fluoresce under black light. Could not find out if bamboo (Technically a grass) does.

White paper is treated with fluorescent compounds to help it appear brighter and therefore whiter. Sometimes forgery of historical documents can be detected by placing them under a black light to see whether or not they fluoresce. White paper made post-1950 contains fluorescent chemicals while older paper doesn’t.

Does anyone else see the overt irony and hypocrisy of the DOJ who weren't interested in the initial election fraud by the democRATS in November 2020 when the democRATS stole the election from Trump but are now questioning the legality of the subsequent audit that could expose that very fraud to the light of day?
