WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Publix is no longer requiring masks for shoppers who are fully vaccinated.
A spokeswoman for the Florida-based supermarket told WPTV that masks will no longer be required for fully vaccinated customers or employees starting Saturday.
However, "individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to use face coverings over their noses and mouths while inside any Publix store," spokeswoman Maria Brous said in a statement Friday.
She didn't say how Publix would verify whether or not shoppers are fully vaccinated.

And how do they know who’s who?
can you say discrimination?
I knew you could.
I hope the vax rebels lawyer up.
They won’t. In virtually every situationn individuals will not have to show proof they are fully vaccinated before entering a public or private building.
By the new definitions of “vaccinated”, you aren’t required to get a shot of killed/attenuated viri, now it’s just anything introduced into the body to help boost your immune system to a particular disease. So by having been previously sick with it, you are defined as “vaccinated”. No joke.
Excellent point. And very good thinking!
I agree they won’t with the customers at least. these places are not trying to run into massive lawsuits or loss of more money. their employees? they can require it.
I IDENTITY as “vaccinated”.

Functionally, you are 100% correct….IMHO.
You know one thing that has bothered me as of late. This has nothing to do with what you posted just an observation. Free Republic is a site where a lot of “conservatives,” gather. Conservatives view themselves as champions of the freedoms and rights we share as citizens of the USA? Yet, anyone who does not want the shot gets routinely criticized, marginalized or is subject to some smarmy smart ass comments on Free Republic. It's easy to be an asshole when it was not one of your family members who had horrible reactions or died from this vaccine. The studies and trials of this vaccine are not complete and won't be for a while. Some people have legit reasons for not getting the shot, those reason are not open to ridicule, unless we have done away with the right to privacy.
I read two studies that seem to indicate the body as with other viruses builds a defense against future attacks from the virus. Those of us who had COVID, may not even need the vaccine. The first article described an early warning system of cells that create an immune reaction even where antibodies are not seen in the system when tested. The second more recent study came out of Israel, one of the most vaccinated countries in the world per capita. I attached a link below. Conservatism is always about the preservation of our rights mixed with a heavy dose of skepticism. So if people do not want a shot, that is their right, at least as of now. Right now, unlike other countries, we still have a right to choose. Conservatives should be defending that right. Not ridiculing those who exercise their rights. Besides, if you are vaccinated, you have nothing to fear from me or anyone else who is not vaccinated.
BTTT!
My father got the virus twice, so reinfection is possible. He’s in a nursing home and had mild symptoms the first time and even milder the second time.
I’m vaccinated and don’t really care what you do. There is an argument that the longer this virus has hosts to infect, the more mutations there will be and possibly one that will defeat the vaccine. But, if that happens it’s likely to come from another part of the world where the vaccine rollout is way behind us.
This mask mandate drop appears to be an attempt to bail out Biden’s horrendous jobs report. This policy change should have been announced immediately when the vaccines became available. Instead, they had this stupid policy of masking for vaccinated people that undermined confidence in their effectiveness.
There’s no way stores can know or ask you for vaccine proof. It’s safe enough now that it doesn’t matter and they don’t need to.
Maybe its high time shoppers go back to trading with their American owned and operated mom and pop vendors for their needs again. It’s never too late. Keep our money in America.
Publix’s starement...
Snort.
But, if that happens it’s likely to come from another part of the world where the vaccine rollout is way behind us.

Triple mutation Indian variant already here. Many other countries such as Singapore, UK and others are rolling back reopening.
Biden put Indian jobs in the US ahead of keeping the variant out.
For over a week, the Publix stores here in North Alabama haven’t been enforcing their mask mandates.
From the CDC
“Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.”
I had the COVID-19 virus accidentally administered by noise and mouth. My immune system had been stimulated with a more robust immunity than a artificial vaccine.

Well said, but the anti-vaxxers here on FR are not limiting themselves to legitimate reasons but are mostly spreading false and misleading anti-vaxxer talking points.
Last Wed. in our Publix when I went shopping, I’d say about 25 percent of the shoppers were maskless.
What are "mostly false and misleading talking points"?
Are you now the judge on legitimate vs false reasons for not taking the vax?
