Biden could let federal employees work from home PERMANENTLY - even though Americans are waiting up to three months for passports and facing huge delays with the IRS

Joe Biden is considering letting federal employees work from home permanently or only come into the office on a part-time basis - despite fears it will lead to more delays for Americans trying to access vital government services.

The Biden administration is set to announce in June guidelines that could see more staffers than ever using telework to perform their duties, according to a report released Monday.

'We anticipate this guidance will leave room for decision-making at departments and agencies, to provide maximum flexibility for defining work requirements to meet mission and workforce needs,' a senior administration official told The Washington Post.

If they don’t need to be in the office, they don’t need to be in D.C. either. Give most of D.C. back to Maryland, except for the small perimeter containing the Capitol, White House, and Supreme Court. Allow no one to live in the capitol zone. Zone it for exclusive use for the normal work of Congress, the Executive, and The DC Circuit and Supreme Court. Anyone working there must commute in, and then leave at the end of the day to their normal home.

What a joke! Many of them barely work when they’re actually in the office in view of their boss.

Whether they work from home or work in an office, the result is the same, nothing positive. Meanwhile, I thought some of these workers were to be involved in some sort of service provision. How do they eyeball things they are supposed to be keeping eyes upon from home?

What does the IRS guy do, hold up your records to the camera?? IMO, just more nonsense.

Oh, and Congress Critters have to live in a dorm just outside of the perimeter. And make them wear orange uniforms and dunce caps. :)

Maybe this might be a good thing. Lazy ass government employees watch porn at home is often better that messing with hard working Americans. Granted, some services like passports are required. If they under perform long enough, then maybe one day we’ll have a president that fires their asses.

Expect government data hacking as people log in remotely to their systems.

It doesn’t matter that nothing gets done, only that everyone is inside the system of political control and monitoring.

So lets see if I have this right. It’s imperative we hire 2 million more federal employees right now because the nation’s work is not getting done, but hey can all work from home. Is that about it? Do I win a prize?

This is such a crock of shit. Every local government is using COVID to hide behind close doors and use it as an excuse why things are not getting done.

I just left my job as a City Engineer for a City in Washington State and we were business as usual. We had people, myself included, who would split time working from home or rotating in and out of the office. We never missed a lick and except for the doors being closed (City administration decision) the average person wouldn’t know if we were at our desk or our homes. But that was my staff but even the other city departments were pulling this crap.

A good way to empty the capitol. Move the departments and have them check in once a week. Round trips to DC would be unbearable. Turn Va. red.
