The Biden administration said Monday that it would appeal a judge's order directing it to release in its entirety a legal memo on whether President Donald Trump had obstructed justice during the Russia investigation. But it also agreed to make a brief portion of the document public.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson earlier this month ordered the Justice Department to release the entire March 2019 memo as part of a public records lawsuit from a Washington-based advocacy organization.
She said the department, under Attorney General William Barr, had misstated the purpose of the document in arguing that it was legally entitled to withhold it from the group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

I hear the 5D chess move is for Trump to get elected, and give some swamper the authority to release this. What an absolute fool to go four years and to release NOTHING! Trump has no one to blame but himself.
There were four DC swampers who, individually, could have each derailed the coup and saved the country. Without the participation of each of these constitution killers the coup would have failed. All were Uniparty (R) Judases. The coups could have lost any number of key Uniparty (D) snakes and would have still continued. Roberts could have stopped it as soon as we all realized the FISA court was up to its eyeballs in the coup. Graham could have had ongoing, under oath, comprehensive investigative hearings on all aspects of the three coup attempts. Barr could have put away half of Uniparty DC. Wray could have bucked Barr and done the job of an honest FBI director. Any one of these swamp bastards could have stopped the process cold. Of course, the one man most responsible for allowing it to proceed was Trump! He is the absolute worst judge of character in the employees he hires that I have ever seen. Trump could have told his Uniparty (R) handlers to pound sand while he appointed patriots as acting heads at DOJ and FBI and then released everything. The coup could not have continued if Trump had done what he had promised, drain the swamp. Rather, he surrounded himself completely with anti MAGA, republic wrecking Uniparty (R) traitors.
Trump could have opened that document on his Oval Office computer and published it instantly on the Whitehouse.gov website.
When Trump left office, there were at least 50 unresolved FOIA requests or lawsuits.
During Trumps tenure, there were at least 50 more FOIA cases that were concluded after huge redactions were made in the requested documents.
Almost every one of these documents would have been hugely helpful to Trump, to Conservatives, or to the Republican Party.
But, for four years, Trump never lifted a finger to facilitate or expedite the release of ANY document in the Executive Branch.
Incomprehensible.
