The Rush Limbaugh replacements are in, as Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will take over his three-hour conservative talk radio show time slot, said distributor Premiere Networks. The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor. Premiere Networks hopes the younger voices will bring something new to talk radio, while also continuing on in Mr. Limbaugh’s legacy. The program, slated to begin airing June 21, will be called “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.” It is expected to air around the country, from noon to 3 p.m. ET, on hundreds of stations.

TRAVESTY
That is true... Here, the host of PM Tampa Bay is a liberal and in the morning Aaron Jacobsen is not as conservative as Jack Harris, the hosts of AM Tampa Bay...
Rush Limbaugh cannot be replaced. Like others have said, he was the GOAT of talk radio like Carson was for late night TV.
Anyone who takes the 12-3 ET slot will have to build their own audience. That said, I’m listening to the Rush / Guest Host show as long as it lasts.
He’s been great talking about the joke of Covid got Trump in the Big 10 to convince them to play football and *tch slaps the WOKE NBA everyday
I found Steyn to be very easy to listen to, much like El Rushbo. Witty, funny. The rest of ‘em, not even close.
😒
In the Atlanta Georgia area stations we have Eric Erickson, all the friggin time! I refuse to listen to EE and either turn the station to classic rock or listen to Dan Bongino’s podcast on my phone.
Could be interesting, but they might have the same problem Bongino has — they don’t have Rush’s sense of humor, his ability to talk about issues and non-political subjects (football, golf, technology, music, etc.) without sounding off subject, his creative use of parody and of music (remember the “updates”?), and so forth.
Probably the person who could most adequately replace El Rushbo would be James Golden, AKA “Bo Snerdley,” who worked with him for roughly 30 years and is most likely to have a “Rushian” sensibility about the program.
That also opens up Buick’s evening slot (opposite Mark Levin.)
The finest “Sinister Foreign Guest Host” in all the land.
I'm not sure what to think, or whether I will be listening for long.
Just call it Clay & Buck.
That would work.
Bongino is intense. Rush was loose and fun, even when dealing with serious topics.
Yes, Steyn would be a great choice. I wonder why nobody even seems to be considering him.
Believe I will switch to Bongino, who airs at the same time.
James Golden seems like a fine person, but his diction is often lacking and his manner seems rather unprofessional.
You could usually tell he is the Fill In Host only.
You can also get him live on FOX Nation.
I no longer watch FOX or any other network news but they offer one year free to Military, active, reserve, retired or just any vet. They also say the subscription fee will be half regular charge. Signed up because it was free for a year, it is a video show. Doubt I will use it for anything else but Bongino, we will see I guess.
Steyn worked as Rush’s fill-in because they have similar sensibilities and approaches. People like Bongino, whom I like, grind liberals and beat hard on issues, whereas Rush and Steyn laugh at liberals, making the point every bit as effectively, with humor, and have fun doing it.
Why all this disdain for Buck Sexton? I kind of like him.
Steyn jokes and giggles too much for me, plus his accent makes him difficult to understand at times.
