The Rush Limbaugh replacements are in, as Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will take over his three-hour conservative talk radio show time slot, said distributor Premiere Networks. The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor. Premiere Networks hopes the younger voices will bring something new to talk radio, while also continuing on in Mr. Limbaugh’s legacy. The program, slated to begin airing June 21, will be called “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.” It is expected to air around the country, from noon to 3 p.m. ET, on hundreds of stations.

I never understood how Atlanta could choose Eric Erickson to replace Neal Boortz.
Maybe they offered, we dont know the back dealings.
I’ve heard James on the radio and seen him on TV. I’ve never had any problems with his diction or his professionalism. He just has a different personality.
And Rush didn’t? Rush was having a good time laughing at liberals for three hours a day.
He is a funny “Bahstad”
Exactly: the CIA show. They’re not even being subtle anymore.
Rush would talk about sports on occasion, when it intersected with issues. I’m sure Clay Travis is well equipped to do that.
Can we be honest?
What Rush did takes a lot more intellect and skill and a lot less ego than what Hannity and Bongino do.
I like Grace Curley out of Boston too.
Howie Carr too. He was my go to after Rush now its R&R and then Carr
Will sample these guys before deciding.
Cant get Bongino on the airways here, yet ?
Thanks for the link.
You sound like a former (or current) radio guy. I like Clay Travis very much, but it is the market that will decide. And that will take a while. Travis will generate publicity with some impolite opinions, so exposure to him will come quickly, and then we the listeners get to choose.
That’s why capitalism is so superior to all else. We , the discerning and buying public, are the judge of everything in every type of market. 340 million judges, evaluators.
As one of those radio guys, I’ve not heard Clay Travis (and certainly not Sexton) display much humour. Clay can get too lawyerly in explaining the logic behind his opinions. He’s not devoid of humour, but lacks Rush’s biting wit, but who doesn’t ?
what is wrong with Bongino?
I do not believe that I have ever disagreed with him on any topic.
Perhaps it will be a rehash of Hannity and Colmes?
I know I'm in the minority here, but Hannity jumped the shark when Colmes left (or was booted?).
Thanks for the info on Travis. I have never heard of him and I don’t follow any sports. Sounds like an interesting guy.
I listen to War Room daily and I’ll never miss that show. Bannon et al have all the news you need and more. I also listen always to Raheem Kassam’s podcast The National Pulse and read him and Natalie Winters, the young girl reporter that just turned 20 and runs circles around every other reporter. She’s simply extraordinary the info she digs up and all their stories are linked and verified.
So I won’t be tuning in to the other shows anyway. They just can’t compete.
You’ve been on this board far too long to not know what Project Mockingbird is.
Laughable since you appear to not know the difference between Project Mockingbird vs Operation Mocking Bird.
Now, back to facts and your correction. Sexton is not retired CIA.
Rush was a DJ. He brought a DJ’s style to serious issue analysis. Hannity and Bongino have an activist’s sensibility. That works, but not in the same way as a Limbaughesque style. Maybe we need more ex-disk jockeys.
You know who nobody has thougth of who might work? Rob Carson. He was a DJ at a rock station in DC who did occasional fill-in work at it sister, WMAL, which was also Rush’s affiliate. He left there to do talk radio in Kansas City, I think. He’s a conservative. He could probably do a good job.
Again, nobody can be Rush. If they could be rush, they would be.

Oh, yes. MANY people said Alex was no Art Fleming.
Interestingly, Alex Trebek was reportedly a friend of Fleming’s and they died of the same disease.
Bongino is a great conservative and patriot; his delivery method is too harsh and intense for my likes. JMHO.
I adore Steyn, too; he was far and away my favorite substitute. I don't claim any inside knowledge, but am fairly confident that such a gig would be his for the asking, but he had vast interests apart from that huge a commitment for now.
