The Rush Limbaugh replacements are in, as Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will take over his three-hour conservative talk radio show time slot, said distributor Premiere Networks. The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor. Premiere Networks hopes the younger voices will bring something new to talk radio, while also continuing on in Mr. Limbaugh’s legacy. The program, slated to begin airing June 21, will be called “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.” It is expected to air around the country, from noon to 3 p.m. ET, on hundreds of stations.

So, I wasn’t able to read the whole article, but I get the idea that the EIB is closing up shop?
Same here. People's "tastes" are not explainable. That was the great mystery, almost, of Rush: so very, very many diverse people adored him. It can't be explained, and it can't be believably imitated.
RIP, Rush
...
BTT
Didn’t read all of it later; I am
thinking Rush’s people like James Golden aka Mr Snerdley won’t be involved but I
think James has a tribute to Rush podcast
on iHeart. Maybe still some kind
of merch shop, classic show podcasts etc from EIB
And his very British dry sense of humor.. :p
No one has mentioned Joe Pags yet?
Is he a never-Trumper?
No idea.
Sexton, Trump l to r
Yes, I’ll check it out, too—at least give it a try a few times.
Mark Steyn is under contract with another broadcaster.
Todd Herman would have been my choice. Very articulate and smart as hell, but he is also likely under contract with another company. He probably doesn’t want to leave his home in Spokane.
Clay Travis has a pretty good resume. Not all that different than Rush’s when he started. He seems to have a broad background in a number of relevant subjects.
Buck Sexton is also very solid.
I think the show will be very successful, but it will take some time for the audience to adjust to the new reality.
Lawyer, ewwwww.
I like Steve Bannon and War Room. On 3 hours every weekday and 2 on Saturday. America’s Voice News.
I really like Warroom also, I enjoyed Rush BUT he never went to the nitty gritty of corruption in government!! Rush understood the tactics of the Dems but Bannon is not afraid of the TRUTH!!!
I never listened to Rush Limbaugh. Probably because I never had a radio. But I always try to listen to Steve Bannon and if I miss him I can always hear the podcast later. You’re right it’s very exhilarating to hear somebody who is unafraid. So many Republicans are afraid. Never again with the wimps.
Clay Travis discusses how he came to be in this position:
Todd Herman would be my choice too.....to cure insomnia.
Apart from the late Walter Williams, Mark Steyn was the only one with the chops and the breadth of knowledge to hold my attention.
The rest of the most recent crop of hosts were strictly amateur.
On his "Clubland Q&A" podcast from 3/11/21 he stated he had no interest in being a "guest host for a host who would never be returning".
He said that he became a guest host owing to his personal friendship with Rush and wasn't interested in being under contract with any media company or hosting a scheduled program of hs own.
You can hear/download the episode at Steyn Online
The salient bit begins at 37:15.
If Travis is pro-aborticide, I am anti-Travis.
Buck is an ex-CIA analyst. Of course we know how corrupt the CIA is, and that no CIA agent or analyst should be trusted. They simply exist to transform and lie to any and all they possibly can.
How can this happen? I know, it is like hiring James O’Keefe to run the CBS evening news. He will be there to destroy the USA as founded.
