All I wanted was for them to replay all of Rush’s old shows. I worked 35 years in an office job and missed almost all of Rush’s broadcasts. I caught snippets here and there over the years. Sick days. Field trips. Field work. But I am sure I missed 95%+. Probably more.
Why not just rebroadcast Rush’s first show, start from there, and play the reruns. I would listen to every show. Sure, they would be outdated, but it would be a pleasure just listening to Rush rip liberals all day.
Where can we hear all his old replays?
It is sad to watch what was inevitable, different folks having to follow an impossibly tough act to follow. Buck Sexton has a show now, and he is very good. If you close your eyes, lol, he sounds peculiarly like Art Bell, IMHO. IThe other guy is a complete mystery.
RIP, Rush.
...
Sexton is ex-CIA (when the CIA wasn’t run by leftist ideologues) and my impression of him is he’s a supporter of Trump and presents very good and logical arguments defending conservative viewpoints.
So what was with all the talk from Libaughs wife about EIB is not going away were going to be here a long time etc ?
The new format.
My self I got tired of hearing Rush clips interjected into the entire show, only because heard most of them 1st hand as a listener since the early 90’s
Got old.
Rush taught me a lot these guys zip.
I turn it on in the car now but switch to music.
Bongino isn’t airborne where I am
Eh, I’ve heard Buck Sexton. He’s no Rush Limbaugh.
Rush cannot be replaced. He was in a league of his own. I’ve never heard either of these guys. Maybe Sexton filled in for Rush a couple of times, but he didn’t leave a lasting impression.
Bongino is the closest thing to Rush today. He has a long way to go and has to build his own audience. Same with these guys.
Right now I’m going with Bongino.
Been listening to Bongino podcasts for over a year. Bongino often has info from deep sources, that I never got from Rush, or anyone else.
Bongino has a knack for making clowns out of famous media types. It won’t take long before these fools get tired of being laughed at by Bongino’s (growing) audience, simply by having clips of their lies broadcast alongside the real undisputable facts.
Get used to it fakers (ie “reporters/anchors).
The only thing I remember about Sexton is that I would turn it off when he came on. Never heard of the other guy.
Mark Steyn is the only one of the subs that I could listen to for three hours.
Here in Albany we are blessed with a LOCAL station that has around the clock content.
The 12 - 3 pm slot is held by Dennis Prager, who is pretty damn good; since Rush is gone that’s where I’ve been listening.
I don’t mind Sexton but given the choice, Prager wins. Sexton rebroadcast is on the other station 8-midnight; I guess they’ll be doing some shuffling, too.
No idea what a Clay Travis is.
I’ll give them a listen, but Buck Sexton is good. Not as good as Rush, but I’ll give him a chance...
I miss Rush, but Bannon’s War Room is even better.
TRAVESTY
Rush Limbaugh cannot be replaced. Like others have said, he was the GOAT of talk radio like Carson was for late night TV.
Anyone who takes the 12-3 ET slot will have to build their own audience. That said, I’m listening to the Rush / Guest Host show as long as it lasts.
In the Atlanta Georgia area stations we have Eric Erickson, all the friggin time! I refuse to listen to EE and either turn the station to classic rock or listen to Dan Bongino’s podcast on my phone.
Could be interesting, but they might have the same problem Bongino has — they don’t have Rush’s sense of humor, his ability to talk about issues and non-political subjects (football, golf, technology, music, etc.) without sounding off subject, his creative use of parody and of music (remember the “updates”?), and so forth.
Probably the person who could most adequately replace El Rushbo would be James Golden, AKA “Bo Snerdley,” who worked with him for roughly 30 years and is most likely to have a “Rushian” sensibility about the program.
That also opens up Buick’s evening slot (opposite Mark Levin.)
I'm not sure what to think, or whether I will be listening for long.
I don’t know why they just didn’t give the Rush gig to Ken Mathews.
So, I wasn’t able to read the whole article, but I get the idea that the EIB is closing up shop?
I like Steve Bannon and War Room. On 3 hours every weekday and 2 on Saturday. America’s Voice News.
