So Buck worked for the CIA, “retires” at young age, and is handed a syndication talk deal because ??? reasons.
He gains no real organic following, but somehow is chosen to take over Rush’s golden EIB microphone because ??? reasons.
Mockingbird never ended, but they used to be more subtle about it.
Mine too. Steyn was the only guest host who enriched the Rush Limbaugh show by being there.

Todd Herman would have been my choice. Very articulate and smart as hell, but he is also likely under contract with another company. He probably doesn’t want to leave his home in Spokane.
On his "Clubland Q&A" podcast from 3/11/21 he stated he had no interest in being a "guest host for a host who would never be returning".
He said that he became a guest host owing to his personal friendship with Rush and wasn't interested in being under contract with any media company or hosting a scheduled program of hs own.
