Hard to believe that Tusley Town was originally a Creek Indian town in the Indian Territories.
I remember, way back in the early 1960s, an article in the Tulsa World of a doctor who had lived all his life in the town, from when it was two blocks long till the 1960s.
And the Greenwood District is about a mile or less from the Southern boundary of the Osage Nation reservation. Now the Osage are some people who were really treated very badly (see Killers of the Flower Moon). Not saying the people in the Greenwood district weren’t, but there comes a time you buck it up and quit making excuses for your failings because your ancestors got mistreated.
