Oh, all the commercial fishermen I ever knew were total straight arrow types. They’ll obey this rule just because it’s a rule, and from the government at that.
Selective enforcement of the law is the name of their game.

This is stupid. The crews, other than those being video recorded for ‘The Deadliest Catch’, will be getting a good laugh over this silliness. The problem is that most government employees have never had real jobs.
As a navy vet all I can say is that finally the Coast Guard has something to do. - trolling waters and enforcing mask mandates.

Many commercial fishing vessels today are required to carry at their expense a government Political Officer aka an Observer.
Have no doubt that they will enforce it.
Did you think that having a Political Officer onboard was only in the Soviet navy?
They also have tried to force them to install live video cameras onboard.
Present the peer-reviewed science to prove the cause for this decision. This cannot be the new “default”.
