Phil Carson told the New York Post that Knight — founder of Death Row Records — allegedly had B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls) murdered as revenge for the Las Vegas slaying months earlier of Tupac Shakur. Knight is serving a 28-year prison sentence for a 2015 hit-and-run case...
But according to Carson, the intended target was Sean “Diddy” Combs. Smalls, 24, was collateral damage. Combs was in the SUV behind Smalls on the night of the slaying...
“All the evidence points to Amir Muhammad,” Carson told the Post, adding that the blood feud was the result of a beef between L.A.-based Death Row Records and rival, Bad Boy Records, based in New York City...
No charges were ever filed in the Smalls homicide and the LAPD lists the case as officially still open...
“Amir Muhammad, aka Harry Billups, the godparent to LAPD Officer David Mack’s two children, has been identified by several sources as the trigger man,” the FBI request written by Carson states.
“Mack is a registered owner of a 1995 Black SS Impala with chrome wheels, the exact description given as being driven by Wallace’s shooter.”...
Carson said the suspected cover-up “was the biggest miscarriage of justice in my 20-year career at the FBI. I had evidence that LAPD officers were involved and I was shut down by the LAPD and city attorneys inside Los Angeles.”...

The same LAPD that covered up the murder of Bobby Fuller and shielded porn star John Holmes for his role in a bloody murder (because John Holmes was a snitch on competing porn film producers and the guy who called the hit was a connected drug dealer).
