Compare this with the current political dialogue: Both parties blame the other, and there is no curiosity, just defensiveness and blame. We need to be more human, more understanding of our individual fallibility, and accept that others are also human. We have to be curious; to question what is happening, what others are saying and why; and to hold on to that curiosity, even when being attacked. At present, the endless cycle of attacks and counterattacks is not working. We have to trade attacks for curiosity, even in the face of further attacks. It's no longer enough to simply go along to get along; we must question, converse and engage in a creative dialogue.

This recurring theme makes me furious. It is so clueless as to revolt anyone with sense, kindergarten talk where we are all good people who just need to communicate & compromise. It doesn't surprise me to see the author has Gingrich in her name. A brilliant man but screws loose and blind spots wide enough to hide a barn in. Duplicitous also with uncertain loyalty & situational ethics.

The left is evil, they seek to engage the American people only to use them or to sow doubt, confusion, guilt and to thwart any efforts that hinder their scheme to rob Americans of their rights and their Country. Anyone who doesn't recognize the total amoral, self-centered, nihilistic mindset of the left & reaches across the aisle is an ass. The Left must be treated as the enemy and fought as intelligently, adroitly and tenaciously as possible least Americans lose all of their basic rights, liberties & opportunities and become serfs in their own Country.

I reject the concept that both sides are at all equally to blame.

Conservatives will discuss things. We can defend our positions, we can explore the other positions. We have a history of actually "reaching across the aisle" -- although that seems to blow up in our faces 100% of the time.

The Left, on the other hand, screams, insults and emotes. That's their dialogue. They demand to win everything, every time. And if they don't, it's White Supremacy.

This is a problem. And our side can't fix it for them.
