A gang member and double murderer convicted in the shooting and killing of two teenagers at a party in Los Angeles more than thirty years ago is set to be released from San Quentin on Monday.

Howard Elwin Jones has been imprisoned at San Quentin state prison since 1991 for the December 1988 shooting and killing of 18-year-old Chris Baker and another boy at a party in Rowland Heights.

Jones was denied parole in 2015 and 2017 but at his third parole hearing in February, he was found to be suitable for parole by the state at a hearing that prosecutors weren’t allowed to attend as part of new District Attorney George Gascón's reforms.

Soros-funded DA in LA bars prosecutors from attending a parole hearing for this psycho and now he's going to be set free in this state. Just another day in the life in Kalifornia where the rights of convicted felon counts 10X (at least) than taxpaying schmucks like me.

“a hearing that prosecutors weren’t allowed to attend” -— That is insane.

At least one of the kids murdered was white. The murderer is black. If the races were reversed, would he even be considered for parole?

Point taken, but it was the parole board that set him free, even though they knew his crime. Many years ago I worked at a juvenile prison. One kid had murdered his stepfather and left his step mother for dead (I know, complicated life).

As staff we were always under some pressure to release kids as soon as possible, including this murderer. I always voted no, even though I knew he’d be released on his 18th birthday in any case. The parole board members should have simply said no.

A double murderer. I hope he doesn't kill again.

Due process requires all sides an opportunity to be heard.

Reminds me of Jack Henry Abbott, who murdered someone, went to prison, wrote a book and got famous, got sprung from prison by the the rich and shamelss who loved his book, committed another murder when out, back to prison where he hanged himself.

I guess "other boy" was too unimportant to have a name of his own.

"Soros-funded DA in LA bars prosecutors from attending a parole hearing..."

Yes indeed!
If Soros' money can fund the theft of a presidential election, it can certainly fund DA's whose goals are the flooding of the U.S. with both illegals and criminals...
