Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) says Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) was kicked out of her leadership position because of “cancel culture.”
During an appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Friday, Ernst explained, “While there are a number of things that I may not agree with her on, for her to come forward, stand up and say what she feels is important to say is OK.”
“People may not like it, just as I may not like AOC and some of the things that she says out there. But for everyone to try to silence her voice, she has a voice, and it’s OK to use it. I think that’s why we’re all elected is to use our voices,” she continued.

Us Iowans are scratching our heads on how we were so easily fooled. Then again, look at Grassley. Apparently we are gluttons for punishment. Anyhow, I hear she is a member of a Masonic lodge. This may explain her descent to the Dark Side
No one wants to silence Cheney... we just want her to admit she’s a Democrat not a Republican. That’s all.

Joni - you are a swamp creature. Liz was not silenced as shown by the fact she is still in the news spewing her nonsense. What did happen was she was removed from a leadership position for which she was not only unqualified for, but was actively playing for the other side. Joni, if you don’t know the difference between silenced and removed for cause from a leadership position perhaps you are also not qualified and should not be representing the people of Iowa.
She was kicked because she should have never been in a leadership role to begin with and sucked at it...
She didn’t get cancelled. She got fired with cause
A senator is not elected to use her voice. He or she is elected to serve the citizens for their states. LC chose to persecute a good man who served the citizens in exemplary fashion. There is nothing defensible about that—no bravery or nobility in taking wrongful acts.
Only a Swamp Creature would conclude that CONSTITUENTS who fire politicians that no longer represent the interests of her/his constituents is ‘cancel culture.’

In a democracy, you are held accountable for you publicly stated comments, positions and votes. Sorry but Cheney hated Trump because he disparaged and mocked the Bush/Cheney Administration that resulted in the catostrophic election of Obama. It would be appropriate for the people of Wyoming to defeat Cheney and remove her from office.
Exactly, It is hard to be a position of building the party when the constant press you generate serves to tear the party in two.
It had gotten to the point where she was even having public spats with the party leader.

Cancel culture is when someone disagrees with you and implicitly threatens your employer to get rid of you or the employer will suffer consequences. When the employers, being the voters, disagree with you and seek your ouster it is called accountability.
Sounds like Joni doesn’t like being a Rep. from Iowa.

Iowans, this is the REAL Joni Ernst that you have witnessed since the last Presidential Election of 2020. She knows the proven gameplan for politicians used since ancient Rome. She will cater to her lobbyists and special interest groups for 5 years, and then the last year of her term, she will swing back hard to the Right to re-establish her conservative credentials with her voters, just before the next election.
