“So this week it’s Robert E. Lee. I noticed that Stonewall Jackson is coming down. I wonder, is it George Washington next week? And is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?
“But they were there to protest — excuse me, if you take a look, the night before they were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. Infrastructure question. Go ahead.”

Trump: “I would say that’s up to a local town, community, or the federal government, depending on where it is located.”
When you have the power to write history, you have the power to write the future.
it’s because facts are always either “racist”, “anti-Semitic” or “misogynist”. No matter what, the facts always offend at least one of the perpetually offended groups, sometimes all three.
If facts don’t fit their agenda they are racist democrat hand book page one.

The writing of history is always political. One may wish that this were not so, but it is. It is a truism that the winners write the history. Of course, those who lose are also free to write books in dissent. But surely the books written by the winners and also by the losers are all universally political. It is misleading to make a claim that “My book is neutral”. It just never works out that way. So, as they say, “own it”.
History is written by the winners.
And right now our side is getting slaughtered in this culture war.
