Putin rose to power because he could manage a corrupt government, control its many factions, and reign-in Russia’s rapacious oligarchs. Its a broken system, but perhaps Putin can be admired for that.

This was my immediate thought as well. The US has no credibility whatsoever…ruled by a shadow cabal of communists and bureaucrats. If anything, by meeting with Biden, Putin got slimed by any association, not strengthened by it.
