In actuality, Mr. McCloskey had to get this case over with pronto, and as a misdemeanor only, as he has announced and is running for the U.S. Senate as a Republican from Missouri in the coming mid-term elections. He’s a brave man, and I hope he wins and sticks it to the Dems in Missouri once he is Senator, and I bet he will win. Go Mark!

Sure, they're lawyers, but a good lawyer never represents himself. They've paid tens of thousands in legal fees that would only keep growing had they insisted on going to trial.
It's one thing to stick to your principals. It's another thing to go broke doing so, just to prove a point.
They've pleaded to misdemeanors, so they haven't lost their gun rights, and they forfeited the two guns in question as part of the plea deal, but are able to purchase replacements.
