During an interview with The New York Times “Sway” podcast released on Monday, White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said there is an “organized effort” to attach the truth, such as “people who think that January 6 was a friendly visit to the gift shop at the Capitol.” And people “who absolutely have no idea what they’re talking about with virology are talking about furin cleavage sites,” which have been cited to argue in favor of the lab leak theory.
Fauci said, [relevant remarks begin around 22:50] “I know several of my colleagues are now reticent to talk out about anything now. This is an organized — I mean, I’m telling you things that people with greater insight than I are convinced of, that this is an organized effort to be able to essentially discredit the truth. The truth has disappeared. And, I mean, people who think that January 6 was a friendly visit to the gift shop at the Capitol. I mean, come on, it’s complete distortion of reality.”

Fauci now considers Jan 6 part of his domain.

Directing the media to the shiny object, rather than have them accidentally focus on the lab leak. Fauci’s media allies will dutifully obey.
He’s trying to be one of the young, cool crowd so he’s throwing what he thinks are viral talking points out there. I think even the msm will drop him soon.
I’m very glad he brought up January 6, because it is so obviously outside the scope of his (at least theoretically...) purely scientific role. It is the clearest public confirmation yet that he has a political axe to grind. It’s going to be my newest go-to quote for demonstrating his political bias.

Fauci is saying that other virologists including one who was intimately involved with building the RNA vax are ignorant and shouldn’t talk about it. Fauci who has bureaucratic credentials is the only one qualified to discuss the vaccine.
And it is the Rats and FBI that are discrediting the truth!!!!!!

Just another politician pretending to be something else. Everything “COVID-19” was hyper-politicized by the left, leading to greater confusion and polarization within the population. And that’s the ultimate goal of the left — create fear and animosity, then divide and conquer. “Dr.” Fauci was/is an integral part of that strategy, as evidenced by his comments re: Jan. 6.
Hey Fauci. Stick to your supposed expertise (which I have no respect for either ). Don’t get involved with January 6......dick.
Fauci angered lots of leftists when the CDC dropped the mask mandate - I attribute the drop to Rand Paul nailing that gnome to the gain-of-function wall and Fauci trying to do damage control - so the real intent of this interview is to get back into good graces with the left by joining the "January 6 was an insurrection" clique.
In short, the interview is evidence that Fauci is on the ropes. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
