A sizeable portion of Americans do not believe their lives will completely return to pre-pandemic normalcy, a Gallup survey released Monday found.
The survey, taken June 14-20, among 4,843 American adults, asked respondents if they believe their lives will ever “get completely back to the ‘normal’ that existed before the coronavirus pandemic.”

And it’s all psychological.
Brainwashing. Pavlovian conditioning.
The scared little sheeple want to be Nanny-stated...
...delusional to think that life can be risk-free.
Name a time in history when Socialist Overlords have given up power without being forced?
Maybe, but it sure makes for a great excuse not have to deal with people.
Something tells me that particular 40 percent don’t live in small American towns that figured out early that the “pandemic” was actually a leftist power grab and carried on pretty much normally.
I find that “I’m not vaccinated” can also be useful in certain circumstances to avoid things.
I think it will....but only if we fight for it.
WHO just announced that people should put their masks back on. You can believe that Fauci and the Dems are high-fiving each other. And if you thought the crackdown was bad before, they plan to be even more aggressive about it this time because they see how easy it was.
Just say no. Our states have to say “no” as well. But it’s not going to be easy.
So, there’s 60% of normal Americans who think it will. That’s a good starting point, but I bet we get that number up to 75%+ by the end of summer.
I used that a couple days ago when a repairman wanted to bring the wife and kids to play. What’s with people these days? He lost that job.
It might be the opposite, though.
Like 40% think they’ll never let the government get away with scaring them into something they’d not otherwise be willing to do because of fear.
If I'm a business owner in a place where my business was shut down under the orders of a governor or mayor, why the hell would I ever sign another commercial lease again?
I went to Cambria and San Louis Obispo, California this past weekend.
So many people are still scared of the virus they are still wearing their masks.
Except when eating because, of course, the virus can’t get you then...
If it wasn’t for The-Enemies-of-the-State our lives would be idyllic.
I agree. That’s why we don’t fly any more. We drive everywhere, even from Kentucky to Seattle. It takes a bit longer, but sometimes freedom comes with a price. And we’re willing to - as our second president said - sacrifice our comfort for freedom.
What they mean by not getting back to normal is that the plan is to kill off most of the worlds population with their genocidal toxin. It’s hard to figure that after that holocaust things will be anywhere close to normal. Planes you say, there won’t be any planes. The airline industry just committed industry suicide by vaxing all their pilots. How are these pilots going to fly cramped up in a cockpit with blood clots forming in their legs? Do you really think these pilots are going to pass their next physical? People are crazy, that’s all there is to it. Have the social engineers already robbed individuals of their ability to reason?
Never is a really long time. Not in 50 years? 100 years? 1000 years?
I bet the Romans of the Republic thought Rome would “never” fall, either.
There will be fits and starts, but life always finds a way.
Never say never.
Oops. I said it.
“I find that “I’m not vaccinated” can also be useful in certain circumstances to avoid things”
As an individual proudly diagnosed with “Avoidant Personality Disorder” I heartily agree!
Yup. The government and the media will perpetuate this flu. I never succumbed to the hype, rarely ever wore the face diaper (medical facilities only), never got the shot. Yeah, 40% will cower in fear for the rest of their lives. Pathetic, isn’t it?
