Rumsfeld didn’t make policy, he provided input and implemented the policies of the Administration he was a part of.
Saying that, I think he did a fine job in a sticky situation. I have always admired him and admired his style, even if I disagree with some decisions he made.
He always acted like the grown up in the room, and understood the dangers of various things even if he didn’t foresee them or was unable to react quickly enough.
And he wasn’t a yes man. However, he fully understood that when he got his marching orders, he moved on them. He didn’t engage in this cowardly behavior of subverting his boss like some turds we have seen.
RIP, Sir.
Bush, as spokesman for Uniparty/military complex never ending war machine, duped me too. Of course, that was back in my Uniparty stooge days.

After 911 we had to kick somebody’s butt. Why it wasn’t Iran I don’t know. Saudi Arabia should have been put on notice. Every member of the royal family and their whereabouts could’ve been identified for bounty hunters. Destroy Iran’s infrastructure and tell them we’ll do it again. Khadafy got the message after Kuwait. Saddam was willing to take the arrows on behalf of all muslims. Iran, our real enemy now dominates Iraq and thanks us for doing their dirty work.
As I said, in a shooting war with Russia or China, he’s my guy. I supported the administration 100%, not knowing better. Rumsfeld knew we were going in under false pretenses. He was much too bright and aware to not have known. I never heard Rumsfeld voice a single negative opinion about the nation building fiasco Bush was peddling. Also, seeing how rotten to the core the GWB administration was, its hard to not hold them all accountable. I never heard Rumsfeld once come out in support of Trump’s Middle East efforts, efforts that were wildly successful compared to Bush/Rumsfeld. I tend to judge republicans nowadays by the company they’ve kept. I appreciate the service he did for this country but he was looking the other way when a lot Uniparty globalist BS was going down.
One of the good guys. Have a high amount of respect for him. He narrated the books he wrote, thought that was a nice thing to do.
Well, he was a company man, no doubt.
Seeing the CIA and FBI for what they really are, any conspiracy theory you ever heard about their involvement is more likely than the accepted story. I honestly believe the FBI fosters their reputation for incompetence when it comes to terrorism on our soil. The reason so many terrorists being watched by the FBI are able to complete their attacks is not incompetence at all. When the FBI is tasked with a job they believe in J. Edgar or Ephraim Zimbalist, Jr. couldn’t do a better job. Just take a look at their massive and very successful efforts to round up those 1/6 MAGA terrorists. I guarantee no deplorable being watched by them will slip through the cracks.
Rummy was one of the great ones. Strangely, I feel less safe.
Prayers to his family and RIP Mr. Rumsfeld.
I think we should defend our borders and have enough force to deter any attack, but that’s enough.
I don’t care for my tax dollars to go to play World Cop.
Beautiful!!
Grant would have loved him. Just get it done.
Thanx for the clarification.
