The case, the most significant to deal with voting rights to come before the court since 2013, dealt with two provisions of Arizona's voting law approved long before the 2020 election. State officials passed a law in 2016 barring unions and advocacy organizations from collecting voters' mail-in ballots, a practice that critics call "ballot harvesting."

Another provision, which was even older, invalidates ballots that are cast in the wrong precinct. Neither of those regulations are unique to the Grand Canyon State.

OK, for those who want the breakdown on how each Justice decided, see here:

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/reaganmccarthy/2021/07/01/arizonabrnovich-scotus-decision-n2591880

Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Alito, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Thomas, and Barrett sided with Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, while Justices Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor said that the law violates Section 2 of the VOTING RIGHTS ACT.

Why am I NOT surprised?

Don't you just love how the urinestream enemedia always portrays election integrity measures as "voting restrictions?"

It's like portraying criminal statues against burglary and theft as "property distribution restrictions."

You couldn’t make up the illogical propaganda.

So now all concerns about fraudulent election practices are bad, as if election fraud is impossible.

This from the party that claims every single election they lose was fraudulent.

Imagine how crazy the leftist Justices are that they would have found it illegal NOT to have ballot harvesting?

Not a controversial ruling. Why wouldn’t a state be allowed to ban ballot harvesting?
