Iowa's high court said Wednesday that the state may refuse to allow Planned Parenthood to conduct sex education programs funded by federal grants, reversing a judge's ruling last year that found the law unconstitutional.

The Iowa Supreme Court found the 2019 law passed by the Republican-controlled Legislature is constitutional, rejecting Planned Parenthood of the Heartland's complaint that the law violated its right to equal protection and that the law served no rational legitimate government interest.

State court Judge Paul Scott ruled in May 2020 that Planned Parenthood would likely prevail at trial on its equal protection claim and he blocked the law’s implementation. The state appealed.

I don’t think Planned Parenthood considers itself to be subject to the laws of the United States.

Here is the best sex education and pro life message to the emotional activist baby killers.

This may have been the baby you aborted? How does that thought feel?

When we moved to AZ from California 25 years ago, my older daughter was in 6th grade. When it came time for Sex Ed, parents could opt out if they wanted. Being from California, I was wary about this so I asked some questions. The school said the classes were taught by the regular teachers using items “provided” by Planned Parenthood. Nevertheless, she was one of only two kids in her class to opt out. I don’t think they give parents that option anymore, even in AZ, I’m sad to say.

If parents want sex education for their kids they should send them to a class outside of the public school system...ie.. a church could have classes, a private entity OR planned parenthood. Or, they could teach their kids themselves. It should not be in the public school system.

The very act of having strangers, especially adults, talking to children about sex husks it from the realm of privacy into a public realm. Once sex is in the public realm it is then ripe for communalism next, which was a common theme in early socialist/utopian literature.

That's twice this week! They overturned a 2019 ruling against former Gov. Branstad. Terry had wanted to remove a Worker's Compensation Commissioner, who refused, plead he was being discriminated against for being gay, and won in court (until yesterday) a $1.5M award for it.
