I said all of this would happen 30 years ago when the PC Revisionists started trying to demonize the Confederate Battle Flag and any and all things Southern. I told them it was never going to end there and that up next would be the Founding Fathers and the Stars and Stripes.

In my opinion, people who take the position that the flag is divisive are way underestimating the number of traditional Democrat voters who will be turned off by such nonsense.

Half the rural county I lived in for decades usually votes Democrat. But at the 4th of July parade, virtually every citizen present stands up when the American flag is marched past them at the start of the parade.

Telling the half of those watchers who vote Democrat that the flag doesn’t represent them anymore is a big mistake on the part of the Marxists now running this country.

The campaign ads will be writing themselves by November of 2022.

Why are millions of other people around the world seeking to enter the United States legally?

The same reason millions flocked to South Africa and turned a once prosperous and thriving society into a violent and barely functioning hell hole.

Like many other of the "divisive" symbols, it's not the symbols or objects themselves that are divisive, it's the people who are choosing to divide themselves away, that make those symbols "divisive".

Looking at human history people migrate great distances for a better life. The US was settled in the colonial era by the landless poor people of England, Ireland, and Germany who were either persecuted for their religion or wanted a chance to own their own land instead of spend their lives working as tenants on a farm or being servants to a wealthy landowner.

The poor of Central America, Mexico and Africa today are migrating to the US to escape poverty, corruption and war. Government benefits may be a draw but the real impetus is they are trying to escape a hell hole for a better place. To be fair, many, if not the majority, of first generation LEGAL immigrants are hard working and productive, trying to build a better life. Many of the illegal immigrants are a problem and our politicians are encouraging the violation of our immigration laws.

My point is liberals are complaining about how racist and oppressive the US is today, yet people of color from around the world are literally risking their lives to sneak across the border. At the same time the allegedly oppressed people of color inside the US are not flocking to leave. The logical conclusion is the USA today is better for people of color than any other nation on the planet.

Recently a reporter asked American college students on the streets about the United States. The students complained about the historical racism and oppression of minorities and how bad the USA is today. The reporter then asked the students what country on the planet was a better place to live? They had no answer.

I read the article you linked about the Ponte Apartments. At the end of the article sounds like the building has been renovated and is coming back.

One final comment. It is the politicians we elect who are enabling the destruction of our culture and our nation. With the exception of Rand Paul, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, and a very few others, none are willing to speak out or take any action to stop the slide into the abyss of tyranny.

Exactly. It is illegal to fly another flag in a setting where the American flag should be----and if you tell the Leftists that their BLM flag shouldn't replace ours then they call you a bad name. Now gay flags, too.

There are rules for positioning, too. But at this point as we remain quiet and accepting, they are really close to actually replacing our flag. Unless we no longer remain quiet and accepting.
