Just ahead of Independence Day, Marvel Comics featured a new Captain America issue in which the Captain slams the American dream as a false promise.
The first issue of the new series, “The United States of Captain America,” by writer Christopher Cantwell, was published on June 30, only four days before the country traditionally celebrates its day of independence from Great Britain.
As the issue begins, Steve Rogers — the original Cap — grouses about how America is built on “lies.”

I’ll read it for free in the shop.
An imaginary hero. No thanks.
There are plenty of real heroes that deserve our attention and affections.
Captain American carries an Audie Murphy lunch box.
This America bashing is getting old. I would donate towards one way tickets for these misguided individuals to exit to a different country never to return.
Captain CCP!
Yes, because the communists have been hard at work killing it and for the most part we’ve let them.
I have never seen so many so intent on destroying their own country.
I’ve said for years, the United States (sadly) does not appear significant enough to be mentioned in the Bible at the end times.
Watching these people destroy our country is sickening. Teaching kids to hate their own country.
I wish they’d move somewhere else, all of them. Enjoy the land you think you want.
Captain Cuba, Captain Venezuela, Captain Red China, Captain North Korea. Not Captain America.
Marxist Kapitain Amerique.
Screw marvel Comics.
Boycott on the way.
Stan Lee, an old school fierce patriot, is doing 360’s @ 500 RPM in his grave.
I hate these corporatist PC scumbags that infiltrate every single company.
I have never understood why companies (and people) throw away that which has worked perfectly for them. It is lunacy
However, some have used the Dream to achieve a point in their lives where the want to tear down the country they live in and not let others live their dream. The irony is that those who complain the most about the Dream are allowed to do so, without they realizing that in a lot of nations in this world, they would be placed in prison for daring to question the policies of the government.
Another thing these malcontents do not seem to realize is that the United States is the exception in the world and in history, not the rule. That is what makes the United States so grand.
Yes, the United States is grand, that’s why they’re trying to destroy it.
Stand tall and be counted, it’s coming.
How about Marvel change the name to Captain Whiney or anything but America since they hate the country.
America has been good to me
Growing up, I remember Spider Man as my all-time favorite super hero. He did right, and got eviscerated in the Daily Bugle for his troubles. He rescued hundreds of people from a villain, among them his girlfriend, and she was miffed that he hadn’t shown up for their date, which would have been disrupted by the villain, and comparing him unfavorably to Spider Man. I also loved the Fantastic Four and the constant bickering between the Thing and the Human Torch, who nevertheless managed to work together to defeat megalomaniacal Doctor Doom, an absolute dictator who has a mad-on against Mr. Fantastic for messing up his face. They stood for something, but that something was personal, atoning for the death of a beloved uncle or stopping Dr. Doom from destroying the world or something. Captain America? Never was into him, having been raised very left-wing. And now they’ve completely wrecked the character. He was supposed to represent what was noble and just in America, and now he’s just a woke butt-hurt leftard. This is what happens when you dance with the devil.
Mickey Mouse has become the mascot of an evil corporation. Those that are owned by Disney either become as evil as them, or are eliminated, as Roseanne was. Marvel is dead to me. This is not Stan Lee’s Marvel anymore, true believers. It’s the special-effects extravaganza vehicle of woke-ist blather. Star Wars has been sequel-ed into oblivion.
Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me? Donald Trump!
