A Pennsylvania state lawmaker and ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump is launching a “forensic investigation” of the state’s 2020 presidential election, demanding cooperation from counties and mimicking a widely criticized partisan effort in Arizona.

Sen. Doug Mastriano, R-Franklin, issued letters to three counties Wednesday, giving officials there a sweeping information request, with the threat of subpoenas for holdouts who do not respond affirmatively by July's end.

The effort is facing strident opposition from Democrats, and any Senate-issued subpoenas for a partisan Arizona-style “election audit ” will almost certainly be challenged in Pennsylvania’s courts. Arizona's audit was widely criticized by both election experts and some Republicans.

Mastriano, who has spoken of his desire to bring an Arizona-style audit to Pennsylvania, said he may make demands of more counties in the future.

Several points here: 1.) Guilty. If there was no fraud then everyone would welcome the audit to improve the election process. They will fight this tooth and nails.

2.) I have a very bad taste in my mouth from all the RINO legislators here in PA. It has taken too long to get to this forensic audit. Minus Mastriano and couple of others there is no fight in them. They need to be attacking the Wolf, Shaprio and every Democrat that fights against the audit. That needs to begin today with:

The Democrat's so loved tamper proof and fraud free voting and counting machines that produced a perfect and fraud free election must not be so tamper proof and fraud free if they are warning counties to not use them if they are audited. Exactly what do they know about these perfect machines? When did they tamper with them? How did they tamper with them? What are they hiding? Anyone fighting the forensic audit must be guilty and want to disenfranchise millions of Pennsylvania voters.

These eff'n Rats need to be destroyed or our Republic will be destroyed.

Who spent millions of dollars on these machines, and why are they better than poll workers counting the votes as was done since the birth of the Republic? Why did these million dollar machines take longer to count the ballots than good old-fashioned hand counts?

Both also suggested they would fight subpoenas in court.

The judiciary and the executive branch in PA conspired to run faux elections contrary to the will of the legislature. Now they will conspire to obstruct an audit of their handiwork. This is the issue in a nutshell. When the PA Supreme Court invents some excuse to disallow the subpoenas, then what? I doubt the legislature has the votes to impeach and convict anyone...yet.

Mastriano led a Senate Republican Policy Committee hearing in Gettysburg in November to which Trump called in, and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was the featured speaker. There, they aired baseless conspiracy theories about election fraud.

The media is complicit in the fraud. The innuendo is just oozing. The lies are non-stop.

Just think about Rudy's recent treatment. He loses his law license in NY for representing Trump and making statements about election fraud. Meanwhile, two lawyers in NY continue to practice law after attacking police. Of course the latter are tied to bLM/Antifa types.

No justice there. It is a complete setup to discredit Rudy and Republicans prior to performing new forensic audits and the release of audit results from Maricopa County. The leftist media see no problem with this.

Why not do the subpoenas NOW instead of waiting? From long experience we know that localities such as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh WILL NOT COMPLY WITH VOLUNTARY REQUESTS.

I’m not an attorney so there may be some legal reason why.

Some of this is politics. They want to appear reasonable, but this also keeps the issue in the news. When places like Philadelphia County refuse, they look guilty. The next issue is having the votes in the committee for the subpoena and then to go to court to have the subpoena compelled. Having the votes on the committee is not the same as having the votes in the full Senate to force the issue however. There are a lot of RINOs in the PA legislature. The closer we get to the next election cycle, the more pressure can be brought on these politicians.

There are indeed legal reasons and a process involved, and the senator has to do this by the book to make it stick. Hence, the consultations with lawyers over how to pay for it since Wolf and the RINO leadership won't allocate state funds to do it.

Believe me, he would like nothing better than to drop subpoenas on all of them right now.
