GOP strategist: 'Jan. 6 was worse than 9/11'

A former chief strategist for President George W. Bush believes the riot at the Capitol building on Jan. 6 was worse than the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Matthew Dowd -- interviewed by MSNBC's Joy Reid on Tuesday, which marked six months since the event -- charged the a lack of accountability for those who fomented the Capitol riot has given permission to Republicans to perpetuate the "big lie" that President Trump won the 2020 election.

"To me, although there was less loss of life on January 6, January 6 was worse than 9/11 because it's continued to rip our country apart and give permission for people to pursue autocratic means," he said.

"So I think we're in a much worse place than we have been. I think we're in the most perilous point in time since 1861 in the advent of the Civil War," Dowd continued.

So, we have former gwb assclown. Check. This statement: "...although there was less loss of life on January 6..." Ya think? And, not sure this assclown's use of "advent" necessarily works here. But, he WAS a gopE strategist. And he did appear on the NO joy reid show. Let's compare how many folks are still in jail that were involved with trespassing(insurrectionists) versus those that looted and burned entire neighborhoods and the number of folks killed during these events(pantyfa/$blm)........... Crickets..... Well obviously 1/6/2021 was worse. Almost like the brits had burned her down back in 1814. Or aliens destroyed it before will smith saved us. Or when actor terrorists caused gerard butler to save morgan freeman. But guess who's in control....................

Makes sense. The Democrats ARE using Jan 06 to purge the military, go after their political opposition and impose an authoritarian rule on the country.
Did you read about the Capitol Police looking to set up in California and Florida to continue their 'investigations.'
All things considered, Jan 06 may be as catastrophic for civil liberties as 9/11 was for lives and damage.
