But their goal is obviously must larger than just statues. They are following the 1984 playbook:

Do you really think they are going to stop at statues?
PS. I'm surprised Orwell didn't think bigger. He wrote "every statue and street building has been renamed." I wonder why he didn't write "every statue has been destroyed."
Weird thing is no one noticed them anyway! They really weren’t in prominent places. I guarantee that whoever takes them will put them front and center so e you can’t miss them!
