Big question is what will happen to SPCE stock next week. Has been the latest meme stonk over the past month. Sell the news?

I was referring to statement in post #8.

Related it could have been done with a balloon.

50 miles is very high.

Congratulations! The US didn’t go from zero to the moon in one step, it took years and billions of dollars. Branson will get to orbit I have not doubt, it might take years but that’s ok, he just opened a new door to space exploration and for that I wish him all the best!!

Just WOW

19.47 Miles and dropped safely by parachute. An amazing Feat.

And an Amazing Story.

Show how truly brave these pioneers really were. It it takes more than balls to do stuff like this.

Was Branson’s plane designed by Burt Rutan?

Boring, amateur-level stuff compared to Musk.

I think both approaches are valid and important.

The world record for manned balloons is 22,000 feet, that’s about 4.1 miles.

According to this page, the record is 113,739.9 feet. That's about 18 miles. The reference is to a 1961 flight. I'd be surprised if no one has bested it.

Not only that, but he also polluted the Moon by leaving a couple of golf balls.

Not to mention (shudder), an American Flag!

Not only that but isn’t this a capitalistic under taking?

Wow. Just like the X-15 project in the 1960s. The pilots actually got astronaut wings. Why are all the things we did 50 years ago suddenly so cutting edge again?

Get ready for every billionaire and unfortunate near-billionaire feeling the need to go to space now. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it is just how people work.

The space race is officially ON.

Gay aliens are always the “hardest hit” by the billionaire class.
