Speaker of Georgia House demands investigation into Fulton County election irregularities
Just the News ^ | July 18, 2021 - 11:28pm | John Solomon

Georgia's Speaker of the House David Ralston is demanding an investigation to "determine if any irregularities or willful fraud occurred" in the state's largest metropolis last November, saying recent revelations about problems with vote counting in Fulton County merit an independent probe.

Ralston sent a letter late last week to Fulton County election officials requesting that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation be allowed to conduct the investigation.

The request comes after Just the News reported last month that an independent observer for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger noted two dozen pages of irregularities in the Atlanta vote counting center last Nov. 3, including double scanning of ballots, insecure transportation of ballots and possible voter privacy violations.

Raffensperger told Just the News he believes the problems in Fulton County are so extensive that the state should take over running elections in the Atlanta area.

Separately, a watchdog group called VoterGA, which won court access to absentee ballot data, said last week its review found that Fulton County's hand count audit of the November election was riddled with "massive errors and provable fraud."

Ralston said the recent reports of problems require a "thorough examination and explanation."

"Given the seriousness of this situation and the possible repercussions for our state and nation, it is time we have an independent investigation — once and for all — of the way in which Fulton County conducted, counted and audited the November 2020 Presidential Election," he wrote in his letter. "To that end, it is my urgent recommendation that your office request that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation conduct its own, independent forensic investigation into the November 2020 Presidential Election in Fulton County.

Is this an attempt to expose underlings and let the leaders escape their involvement in this crime?

The Governor and the Secretary of State have both been less than truthful from the beginning. I have no doubt the Fulton County officials have committed election fraud.

This is the usual whitewash. There is no justification to trust the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Can’t have a good whitewash without an investigation.

Is this an attempt to save Governor Kemmp and Secretary of State Raffensperger from criminal prosecution?

I don’t know anything about the integrity of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

I suspect you may be correct, because the Governor and SOS are trying to save their own hide. They are the ones that I think were paid the big bucks to commit fraud.

Governor Kemp was on TV recently blaming the locals. I remember what he did to President Trump. He is not to be trusted with anything.

Look for a story about ballots being destroyed right after the election, and observers showed up. The GBI was called in and 'took over' the investigation before returning the ballots to the shredders on the spot. Don't recall the reason given for the shredding.

If we have problems in Fulto what about Dekalb? Maybe even Clayton county. I dont see why the problems would be just in Fulton alone.

That would not surprise me.

Corruption runs deep in Georgia.

recent revelations

Where's Ruby Freeman? The video of her and cohorts pulling ballots from under the table and running them several times is hardly recent.

Correct. It is only the tip of the iceberg. This all started with the corrupt Governor and the Secretary of State.

The Governor sold out to the ChiComs. SOS is his wing man.

The rats will let the clock run out. The GOP hasn’t even started. We react-that’s the problem.

“letter late last week to Fulton County election officials requesting that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation be allowed to conduct the investigation.”

This is just amazing. “Be allowed”. Seriously. So the crooks in Georgia determine whether the GBI can investigate them. That is some law enforcement.

So are you saying that there should be no investigation and that opponents of vote fraud should just lie down an quit? If so, you are talking like a troll spreading pessimism.

I’m saying the investigation will be as fraudulent as the election. Might as well have the FBI in on it, too.

Government has a long history of lying, then claiming it is trusted. The bigger the mistake, the less likely it will be admitted, and the press is all in on keeping election fraud out of the sunlight.

I’d love to see the public reclaim its place, and reveal these institutions as the frauds that they are.

Remember, law enforcement agencies only investigate crimes. They don’t prosecute crimes. Prosecutorial power in the states is vested ENTIRELY in elected officials.

You sill have to find an elected DA or state AG who has the appetite to prosecute whatever the GBI would find.

This is akin to a cop showing up at his brothers traffic accident and tries to talk the victim out of pressing charges.
