I don’t understand why voter ID is an issue. Indiana had one of the first strict voter ID laws, which was challenged in the courts but was upheld by the Supreme Court in the decision on Crawford v. Marion County Election Board. Does a state have to have a voter ID requirement? No. Can it have a requirement? Yes.

Most of socialist dominated Europe, which the American Left loves, (a) requires photo ID for voting, and (b) banned mass mail-everyone-a-ballot due to the inherent fraud opportunities it carries.
Anything the Dims say against reasonable voter integrity measures is just their making a reasonable issue political and doing so by very wrongly portraying voter integrity measures as many things they are not. If we were to think of the Dims as intentionally evil, we’d assume they want as much voter fraud as possible.
