I keep waiting for the big story, the poor unvaccinated person who tests positive... who they can blame and HOLD RESPONSIBLE. Where is that story??

I’ve read multiple stories in the last few days, of a dozen or more people who became infected and symptomatic, who were fully vaxxed.

Yet, the CDC director would have us believe that it is RARE - 99% of cases are among the unvaccinated. This, is just stupid. It simply doesn’t work that way. This virus is not repelled because you have been ‘vaccinated’.

As an unvaxxed person, I don’t think I’m no more likely to catch this than an vaxxed person. This virus does not see out ‘a better host’. We all are a host for it, one degree or another. That seems obvious. The weak or susceptible may become sicker, but we all are exposed equally, as we would be if the virus were smoke. From what I understand and see here, the vaccine hopefully gives your body a head start on defending against it.

Can someone correct me if I’m wrong on this? It is becoming clear to me, based on the numbers here (assuming one infected Dem has now caused 6 or more new cases) that the infection rate is very similar among the vaxxed and the unvaxxed.

And, these ‘breakthrough’ cases make me wonder - how much was the vaccine responsible for the big drop in cases this spring?
