Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky told lawmakers Tuesday the delta variant now makes up 83% of cases, up from 50% at the beginning of this month.
"CDC has released estimates of variants across the country and predicted the delta variant now represents 83% of sequenced cases. This is a dramatic increase from -- up from 50% for the week of July 3rd," Walensky testified in a hearing before the Senate Health Committee.

This is great news. It’s less deadly, spreads fast — herd immunity here we come!

We’re at herd immunity so there isn’t going to be any overwhelming outbreak but there may be clusters and problematic hospitalizations among them.
Basically, it’s a smaller portrait of the vulnerable population from earlier.
Act accordingly.

The vaccine removed fear so they just introduce Delta.
If they introduced an anti Delta booster to bring fear down, the establishment would just introduce a new deadlier Epsilon variant.

Yep. Missouri, which was the talk of cable news two-weeks ago for being ground zero of the delta variant ‘spreading like wildfire,’ has had a whopping ZERO COVID deaths’ the last two-days.
COVID, and all its variants, is now killing (on an annualized basis) roughly the same number of people that die from seasonal flu annually. And yet, we won’t shut down the country and parade around in masks and close schools for the seasonal flu.

That’s really good news because it is less deadly but spreading quickly...we’ll reach way beyond herd immunity in a shorter period of time.

How do they know this? Does a PCR test distinguish between the different strains of the virus?

How do we know that what you describe isn’t exactly what is happening? The fear of a virus variant that isn’t any more lethal that the one they just got thru vaccinating 60% of the population for is not rational. On top of that, If the Chinese *HAD* released another laboratory grown virus, would this crew in the White House tell us? The current overreaction tells me that they are withholding information from the public.
